SDG Transformation Sub-Commitee
The SDG Transformation Sub-Committee (SDGTC) plays a central role in supporting Brunei Darussalam’s efforts to implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It serves as a strategic and technical body responsible for advancing the SDG Transformative Commitments in line with Wawasan Brunei 2035 and other nation priorities.
The SDGTC supports a whole-of-nation approach by coordinating policy alignment, data integration, multistakeholder engagement, and strategic partnerships. It also provides evidence-based recommendations to inform decision-making and ensure that policies and programs remain inclusive, forward-looking, and responsive to emerging challenges and opportunities.
The Group is responsible for:

Policy Alignment
To identify and align national policies and programs with the SDG Transformative Commitments (SDGTC). -
Strategic Planning
To formulate action plans for the monitoring and implementation of policies and programs related to the SDGTC. -
Issue Identification & Advisory
To identify emerging issues and provide strategic advice that may impact the realization of the SDGTC.

Data System Integration
To establish an integrated database system for the SDGTC that complements efforts by the SDG Technical Working Group. -
Multistakeholder Engagement
To conduct inclusive engagement with stakeholders across sectors to ensure whole-of-nation contributions to SDG implementation. -
Support Research & Evaluation
To support research, data analysis, and monitoring and evaluation activities, while identifying gaps and opportunities to enhance policies and programs.

Partnership & Collaboration
To collaborate with potential partners to support the development and implementation of aligned policies and programs. -
Reporting & Coordination
To submit relevant reports, recommendations, and minutes of meetings to the Special National Coordination Committee on SDGs for further action.
