The Secretariat to the Special National Coordinating Committee (SNCC) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Brunei Darussalam, conducted an engaging briefing session for 125 Year 9 students at Masin Secondary School as part of the CERIA in Action program. The session aimed to educate and inspire students about the SDGs and their role in shaping a more sustainable future.

The CERIA in Action program is a dynamic student development initiative designed to instill leadership skills, critical thinking, and a sense of responsibility among young learners. With the SDGs as its central theme, the program encourages students to develop impactful projects that align with their school’s values while fostering sustainable practices in their communities.
Through interactive discussions and activities, the students explored real-world applications of the SDGs, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to tackle future challenges. By actively participating, they learned how their contributions—no matter how small—can create meaningful change and drive progress toward Brunei’s sustainable development goals.

The session reinforced the importance of youth empowerment and education in achieving a better, more sustainable future, emphasizing that the journey toward sustainability begins with informed and proactive individuals.
